Facebook says the EU may force it to stop sending data to the US from Europe

Facebook may have to stop sending EU user data to the US following a decision from Ireland's privacy regulator, the company announced in a blog post on Wednesday.

"We will continue to transfer data in compliance with the recent CJEU ruling and until we receive further guidance." However, the court stressed that under SCCs, privacy watchdogs must suspend or prohibit transfers outside the EU if data protection in other countries cannot be assured.

Lizard man sure does love his data doesn’t he

nuanced_nl So Facebook also does censorship lol

Good.

nuanced_nl That's why Facebook refused to stay in China market. Yes, China didn't ban Facebook or Twitter, only because those Apps refused to steal the Chinese personal privacy data.

So what are global brands supposed to do then? Can they send data from US to Europe as a workaround to be able to evaluate global marketing initiatives? And does data also include account visibility🤔

USA UK and Australia also complain when China does it.

Shut down the rancid pile of monkey dung known as Facebook.
