Arm and Nvidia will ultimately benefit if China is able to demand concessions from the US as part of the acquisition negotiations

The merger will face intense regulatory scrutiny given the geopolitical implications of the deal, as well as concerns from Nvidia's competitors that Arm would lose its through the acquisition. The US, EU, and China all need to sign off on the deal, but Arm and Nvidia have stated they believe approval could be granted in less than 18 months.

$300 billion worth of chips this year, far exceeding any other country. In response to US sanctions, China has poured ample resources into developing an independent semiconductor supply chain. to remain a top chip importer for the near future. Arm therefore stands to lose billions in sales if—as the coalition of Chinese tech firms fear—the US were to force Arm to stop selling to China-based companies after the acquisition.
