on Wednesday night signed a deal with China's Sinovac Biotech for some 500,000 doses of its COVID-19 vaccine worth P325 million, a top official of the group said.

The Food and Drug Administration this week granted emergency use authorization for the firm's vaccine, which would pave the way for its delivery to the Philippines. The next stage, Chua said, would be the approval of China's health department to export the doses to the Philippines and its coordination with the Department of Health .
