Vaccines are better to treat Covid-19, says a coalition of 49 professional medical societies and individual doctors, who cautioned against “off-label” use of the anti-parasitic drug Ivermectin.
“We support cracking down on illegal or black market Ivermectin because we support safe medicine prescriptions for all Malaysians,” said the coalition in a statement today. It also said there had been substantial public pressure for the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency to approve the use of Ivermectin for Covid-19 treatment. The coalition said the NPRA’s process must be followed without interference.
