An early Wednesday morning fire outbreak at Apongbon market has caused panic among road users and motorists around the area in Lagos.Vehicles parked under the bridge were also reportedly razed by the inferno which enveloped a large section of the bridge.The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority announced via a tweet that the fire outbreak has resulted in the slow movement of motorists and advised that they use alternative routes.
“Motorists who are yet to connect Eko Bridge are advised to use alternative routes such as Third-Mainland Bridge and Carter Bridge.The emergency workers have also urged traders trying to salvage their goods from under the bridge to leave for their safety.
