'IT REALLY HAS BEEN MY PRIDE AND JOY' - After Bauhaus Salon in Salt Lake City burned on Sunday, the owner is asking for help to rebuild his dream and help his employees.

“This place was beautiful at one point. It really has been my pride and joy," said the Hawai'i native who has been a full-time stylist in Salt Lake City since 1995.

“I don't want to give up on my dream," he said."I already put so much work into it. Most people in their lifetime they get, like, one opportunity, or they take one opportunity to accomplish like their dream and creating that for themselves. Apparently, I get to do it twice.”“I think there's some inherent chemicals and dyes and things like that that are used in hair products," said Capt. Shaun Mumedy with the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

“All of the stuff that I have in here is just that, it's just stuff," he said."But I was just most concerned about my team. And what are they going to do in losing all of their equipment and stuff? They've also gone through the COVID and being shut down, they have families, and just wondering, what, honestly, what are they going to do?”

Indianola Ave business owner: 'I am extremely worried.' City plan will 'decimate' parkingApril Rhodes says the city of Columbus should return to a plan that would accommodate businesses and bike lanes on Indianola Avenue in Clintonville. You’ve got to be kidding me. The plan is set, the vast majority of people support the chosen plan, yet two business owners somehow are being given endless media coverage because they disagree. 'The plan is a solution that achieves a bike lane and still preserves parking on both sides along the business section of the corridor.' New compromise: for every one of these pieces that goes to print, we should take away three (3) more parking spaces

Man sentenced for kidnapping N.J. business owner, demanding ransom, federal prosecutors sayCharges against a second man were still pending this week, federal prosecutors said. I think 15 years is a pretty light sentence for kidnapping for randsom. I know a woman who did 25 year because she tied up an elderly woman she robbed when she was a young junkie. Kidnapping for randsom is so specific and vile.
