Montegray Capital founder Michael Jordaan reveals what he has learned from investing in local businesses, the best and worst parts of being an entrepreneur, and his tech choices.

Michael Jordaan is one of South Africa’s most respected and successful businessmen — and for very good reasons.

Jordaan established himself as one of South Africa’s top investors, with many of the companies he invested in showing rapid growth and disrupting their industries. Another company that Jordaan invested in, cryptocurrency exchange VALR, raised over R750 million in Africa’s largest ever crypto funding round.However, it is not his investments in Rain or VALR of which he is proudest. This honour belongs to Bank Zero.Investment strategy

He added that if he knew what he does now, he would spend even less time on paperwork and more on helping the team succeed.
