Don't you wish your laptop and cellphone were less fragile? Our recent survey examined the interest in rugged devices among local businesses. Here’s what we found. RuggedDevice

ITWeb, in partnership with Dell Technologies’ authorised distributor Pinnacle ICT, conducted an online survey on the current state of adoption and the appetite for rugged devices among SA businesses as well as local IT resellers.

Almost half of reseller respondents offer rugged devices as part of their product portfolio, while 39% of respondents say they don’t but are considering it. However, 60% of respondents felt that the cost of ownership of rugged devices was higher than normal devices.
