Thousands of people protested outside the government headquarters in North Macedonia's capital, Skopje, over allegations that patients at a cancer hospital missed life-saving treatment because staff were stealing the expensive drugs to sell on the black market.\n\nChanting 'Murderers,' demonstrators demanded the resignation of the country's health minister and the hospital management.

Cancer patients missed out on potentially life-saving treatment after healthcare workers sold their medications on the black market, it has been alleged.

Eggs were hurled at the government building, and the crowd called for the urgent resignation of North Macedonia’s health minister and the hospital management.Placards read ‘Killers for profit’ and ‘How many more deaths?’.
