13 people killed, 16 injured in Free State crash Thirteen people have been killed in a crash on the R26 between Bethlehem and Fouriesburg in the Free State.

Three were critically injured, eight escaped with moderate injuries and five with minor injuries. The injured were taken to Pelonomi, Dihlabeng and Phekolong hospitals.

According to the Free State emergency services the crash involved two mini-busses and a motor vehicle.It’s alleged that a BMW was enroute to Fouriesburg from Bethlehem when the driver lost control and hit the mini-bus. That is when it lost control and went straight into on coming traffic and there was a head on collision with the second mini-bus. The mini-bus caught fire instantly.
