Stocks higher, inflation in focus, Walgreens, Ford, Domino's Pizza

Wall Street is looking to extend its win streak to a fifth consecutive session Thursday as investors continue to track the pullback in Treasury bond yields into the start of the third quarter earnings season.

Investors are betting the Fed has come to the end of its rate-hiking cycle, and are looking to today's key September inflation reading for full confirmation.Walgreens, which named industry veteran Tim Wentworth as group CEO earlier this week, will publish its fourth quarter earnings and 2024 outlook prior to the opening bell.The United Autoworkers Union expanded its strike action late Wednesday to include Ford's biggest, and most-profitable, assembly plant in Louisville, Kentucky.
