MPs voted down eight alternatives to Brexit in a series of “indicative votes” on Wednesday. Prime Minister Theresa May even offered to quit if her deal is finally approved, in a desperate attempt to get MPs on her side. Former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson quickly made it clear he would back Mrs May’s deal, but the DUP stuck by its objection to the deal over the backstop.
