AUSTIN, Texas — On Tuesday, customers all over Texas dealt with a massive internet and phone service outage, later linked to Spectrum., blaming the outage on a third-party infrastructure issue caused by the impact of hurricane beryl.
Restaurants like Austin's Very Own Saltt couldn't take calls. But Johnson and her business aren't alone. Thousands of Austinites on Tuesday reported they struggled to get work done with such a large disruption impacting Spectrum phone, internet and cable services. "Obviously there was no internet anywhere. We went to, Epoch on Far West . We tried going to Starbucks a little further away from that," said Melany Maurer, who had to search for spots to work at on Tuesday.
