Building company insolvencies are projected to exceed historical highs in 2024 after already reaching pre-COVID full-year totals in the first six months to June 30.

Picture: Getty Images Greenwood explained the price of land was so expensive at the moment that builders were struggling to turn a healthy profit, let alone finding a buyer to purchase the property from them.

According to the Alares data, the number of businesses owing more than $100,000 in overdue tax by more than 90 days exceeded 27,000.
