The nominations for the annual Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards have been unveiled, and a total of 10 Scottish restaurants are up for the 'Oscar of the Curry Industry'.

The Scottish restaurants nominated for a prestigious award dubbed the "Oscar of the Curry Industry" have been revealed.

Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Paisley are the most represented for nominees, each being home to two. Masala Twist and Swadish by Ajay Kumar are representing the former, while Monsoona Healthy Indian Cuisine and Yorokobi by CJ are the Aberdeen nominees and Indian by Nature and Grand Fusion are situated in Paisley.

Founder Member and CEO of ARTA Mohammed Munim commented: "Asian restaurants and takeaways have made a significant contribution to the UK economy, both historically and in recent times. They deserve recognition and rewards for their efforts.
