Extinction Rebellion staged the protest at Cambridge University's Trinity College, saying the college has invested millions in oil and gas companies.

, carried out the protest at Trinity College Cambridge on Monday.

"Trinity College has invested £9.1m in oil & gas companies, the most of any of the 45 Oxbridge colleges. They own Innocence Farm in Suffolk and want to sell it to Felixstowe Port to build a lorry park for 3,000 vehicles," the group said. In a response posted on the college's Facebook page, Trinity College said it"respects the right to free speech and non-violent protest but draws the line at criminal damage."
