MELAKA: Melaka Historic City Council warns that it will not hesitate to close down the crowded Bachang wet market here if there is a failure to comply with Covid-19 standard operation procedure .
“On MBMB’s side, we will no longer tolerate the violation, including by closing the wet market if the situation warrants, ” he said when met after he launched the council's advanced pump operation monitoring system at a hotel here on Friday . “A lackadaisical attitude in ensuring a strict SOP at public areas will eventually put market-goers and patrons at risk, ” he said.
