The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.65% opened near 29,451, up 188 points or 0.6%, while the S&P 500 SPX, +0.60% added 20 points, 0.6%, to open near 3,577. The Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.63% gained 62 points, opening near 11,917, a gain of 0.5%.
