‘Cartel’ scandal: Frozen meat company’s directors, managers charged with using fake halal logos in JB

The company and two accused, as well as one who is still at large, are charged with using, possessing and offering 3,418 boxes of frozen food using false trade descriptions without approval at the Sessions Court in Johor Baru February 9, 2021.

The offence was committed at the Idaman Rural Industrial Park, Senai in Kulai here between December 1 and 3 last year. The prosecution was represented by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs’ Deputy Public Prosecutors Mohammad Onn Abd Aziz, Kwan Li Sa, Syazwani Zawawi, T. Ashivinii and Kee Shu Min.The court then allowed the two accused on bail of RM250,000 with one surety for each accused, as well as having their passports surrendered to the court. The accused were also told to report to the Kulai district police headquarters every two weeks.
