Nestle SA has reached an agreement with KKR & Co. to buy core brands of The Bountiful Company for $5.75 billion.
The Swiss company said Friday that the assets it is buying include brands like Nature's Bounty, Solgar, Osteo Bi-Flex and Puritan's Pride. The deal, which should be completed in the second half of the year, expands Nestle's health and nutrition portfolio. It doesn't include The Bountiful Company's sports and active-nutrition brands.
