The Young Nurses Indaba Trade Union is demanding the permanent employment of all COVID-19 contract workers, an increased budget and the cancellation of austerity measures in the health sector. YNITU

The union is marching to the Treasury and Health Departments in Pretoria. They say Treasury has cut budgets and shunned healthcare workers who sacrificed their lives during the pandemic, with many of them being told to stay at home due to budgetary constraints.
