Food company fined $4,200, bean curd recalled after widespread cockroach infestation

Hensin Food was fined $4,200 by the court on Friday for failure to keep its premises properly maintained and clean.

In the interest of public health, Hensin Food was suspended on Jan 20 and directed to recall its bean curd “tau kwa”. SFA will take enforcement action against food operators who do not adhere to regulations or comply with food hygiene and food safety requirements.
