As such, talk of cash aid often spreads like wildfire as the money-strapped are understandably eager to benefit from any financial cushion that may be on offer.

Recently, there was one such TikTok post claiming that the Finance Ministry is offering RM300 monthly as financial aid, with the video going viral online. Is this claim true?“The Finance Ministry states that there is no RM300 monthly cash aid as said in a viral TikTok post,” it said. Meanwhile, the police also said in a post on their official account that the claim in the TikTok video is untrue and added that the public should not be fooled by it.
