Australia’s biggest steel maker, BlueScope, today sharply upgraded its profit outlook this financial year with a rapid improvement in its US operations.
BlueScope says second half-year profit will rise by at least 40 per cent to between $700 and $770 million after it finished a $1 billion expansion of its North Star US operations in Ohio.
