Rory McIlroy has joined a host of additional sports stars in using his money to invest in Formula One team Alpine Racing.
McIlroy joins heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, footballers Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Juan Mata as well as NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in investing in the same team. The announcement comes after Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney decided to venture into the sport taking a 24% stake in Alpine Racing.On the news, McIlroy said: “Passion for excellence on the golf course has led me to admire the same pursuit in Formula 1.
