The African Christian Democratic Party ’s deputy president Wayne Thring says the resignation of Floyd Shivambu from the Economic Freedom Fighters comes as no surprise.At the briefing, the EFF also announced MP Mzwanele Manyi’s resignation. Both Shivambu and Many have joined the uMkhonto we Sizwe party.

“The ACDP is not surprised by the resignation of EFF Deputy President, as well as Mr Mzwanele Manyi because of rumors about tension and conflict between leadership and other members of EFF who are not happy with the direction party was taking.”The Umkhonto Wesizwe Party says Floyd Shivambu and Mzwanele Manyi’s departure from the Economic Freedom Fighters will benefit opposition parties in Parliament.
