Apple’s Vision Pro flop: Company scales back production of $3,500 VR headset amid lackluster sales, customer complaints

Apple is significantly scaling back production of its initially popular Vision Pro headsets, and may even cease making the item by the end of the year, The Information reports.that the company only sold around 370,000 headsets in the first three quarters of 2024 and anticipate that only another 50,000 units will sell by January.

“Obviously I’d like to sell more,” the boss added. “But there’s a limit to the number of faces this version of the Vision Pro will be on.”
