Two of Ireland’s largest law firms, Byrne Wallace LLP and LK Shields Solicitors LLP, have agreed to merge to form Byrne Wallace Shields. The newly combined firm will boast over 430 employees, including 220 solicitors. The merger is expected to enhance the firm’s capacity to handle larger client mandates. Feargal Brennan, the managing partner of Byrne Wallace, will lead the merged entity, while Richard Curran, the managing partner of LK Shields, will serve as the senior partner.
Both firms emphasize that this merger is a testament to their confidence in the Irish economy and their ambition to cater to both existing and new clients more efficiently
