The country’s biggest blueberry producer has been barred from recruiting foreign agricultural guest workers for three years and will have to pay $3.5 million in back wages and penalties as part of a court agreement reached with the U.S. Labor Department.
The ban and fine are among the harshest penalties imposed this year on California growers, who have recruited. Munger and its affiliated companies, Washington-based Sarbanand Farms and Crowne Cold Storage, based in Stockton, did not contest the allegations, according to the Labor Department.
I am out of complimentary articles. I certainly hope this fine is going into the guest workers pockets and not the always open pocket of the government.
Well done!
What names do they sell the berries under I do not recognize that name on any berries I have seen in stores
That is a great start!
Does the money go to workers or attorneys? I know the answer.
Or as the Fox news headline will read: 'Liberal policies force increase in the cost of blueberries. Trump promises to restore the original conditions.'
