Metro Manila — The Philippines has its first entry in the prestigious Bloomberg 50 list with San Miguel Corporation President and COO Ramon Ang.
Ang is among the 50 most influential business, entertainment, politics, finance, fashion and tech leaders that made it to the 2019 list of the international business publication. “It’s a great honor, and I’m grateful to Bloomberg for taking note of our work and the developments here in the Philippines,” Ang said in a statement. “I hope this helps to showcase the many great and positive things happening in our country.”
Bloomberg acknowledged Ang's role in expanding the food and beverage company to a conglomerate that also deals with electricity, oil and construction."It will have three times the capacity of Manila's current one, which is 71 years old and regularly ranks among the world's worst," Bloomberg said about the upcoming Bulacan airport.
Joining Ang on the unranked list of world leaders are climate activist Greta Thunberg, TV host Jon Stewart, pop star Rihanna, Warner Media News and Sports Chairman and CNN International President Jeff Zucker, Kylie Cosmetics CEO Kylie Jenner, and Disney International Chairperson Kevin Mayer.
