SA looking at self-generation of energy: President Ramaphosa via SABCNewsOnline

This comes amid major concerns about the capacity of Eskom and calls for homes and businesses to be allowed to embark on self-generation using solar and other renewable sources.

The excess energy could then be fed back into the grid. The President was addressing the second annual Business Economic Indaba in Sandton, north of Johannesburg. The focus of the Indaba will include energy security, the structure of the economy and the fourth industrial revolution.
