An internal email from the company's steering council dated March 9 ordered all its 1,000 employees to work from home.
The steering council issued the order after an engineer got into contact with a Covid-19 positive patient in Kuala Lumpur. “While there is no conclusive result at this point, as a safety precaution, the steering council has decided that all employees and associates should work from home today .“In tandem, a full site sanitisation will be conducted across all our Penang facilities,” the email said.
A source said the sanitisation process could take a few days and the facility in Bayan Lepas is likely to be closed for a few days.Article type: free
