It’s difficult to quantify, but a quick search of analyst research reports yields a lot of hits for the term “flight to quality.” That refers to investors selling riskier stocks, such as companies with high leverage or low profit margins versus peers, and those operating in industries—like airlines—decimated by the Covid-19 outbreak.
