President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order he says will limit liability protections enjoyed by social-media companies, as he escalated a fight with Twitter over its fact checks of his statements.

So, someone tell me if I'm wrong, but by removing their liability protections, he hoping to make them liable for anything posted on Twitter, which would then encourage twitter to remove tweets with false information, which would essentially mute Trump's twitter...right?

This is not an accurate headline, it may be factual, but not accurate.

Why can’t he hire a programmer to create his own version of Twitter? Then he can say anything he wants, because he can create the terms and conditions.
