The government will unveil a cash grant next month aimed at assisting the live entertainment industry, which has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said the funding will go to theatres and live music venues so they can invest in a reopening.

"One person the PM is said to speak to on these issues is Tina Arena, his favourite singer who was last year appointed to the Australia Council, an organisation after more funding,” he said. “The industry is calling for more than $300 million and an extension of JobKeeper , let’s see if we see that extent of support.”
