As the coronavirus pandemic continued into May, Americans, health officials and elected officials reached a breaking point on their stay at home orders.

The number of coronavirus cases in the country rose to over 1.1 million with nearly 65,000 patients dead. MORE: 2.1 million more Americans file jobless claims, bringing coronavirus crisis total to 40 million By May 15, eight more states, including parts of upstate New York, Vermont and Virginia, allowed certain businesses to reopen, but with tight restrictions on the number of customers and strong calls for social distancing. In some instances, owners of salons, gyms and other non-essential businesses said they were fed up that their stores were not allowed to open first and defied their governor’s orders.

States reopened for business in May as coronavirus death toll climbed past 100,000'It’s pretty clear that Americans are over COVID,” former homeland security advisor Tom Bossert tells ABC News. “The problem is COVID is not done with us.” Wow The number of people that are being infected and dying are still rising but people walk around like it's nothing or even claim it's a hoax. I know people who have had it. It's no hoax. And it's BAD news! Wear those masks people! When 1000s of people can gather for 4 funerals all over the country for one man but the rest of us can’t even bury our loved ones with a small service YEA WE’RE OVER IT!
