UBS has launched a $200 million venture fund to invest in early stage fintechs - Business Insider

With its fintech venture fund, UBS is widening access to startups, from among which it will identify and apply the latest technology to its own operations

of fintechs with under 25 employees said in June that they had six months or less of cash runway.

They should therefore capitalize on FIs' bullishness and aim to score their large funds. However, whereas VCs are mainly interested in their fintech investment making a solid return, FIs will prize startups that can help enhance their own digital capabilities. To maximize chances of success, early stage fintechs will need to show how their solutions would help an FI enhance its operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction, outweighing the cost of investing.
