An advisor at the world’s largest wealth manager breaks down why a Biden win and a split congress is the best long-term outcome for markets — and says investors should look to these 4 sub-sectors for ongoing gains

because the deadlock between Republicans and Democrats on another stimulus agreement would likely continue.

"The market loves deadlock," Mantione told Business Insider on Wednesday. "Everybody doesn't necessarily like massive change, certainly market participants don't, because it becomes harder to forecast what that change will do to the economy and to companies." Mantione said that while the market may suffer in the short term from a weak stimulus package, the outcome is most favorable for investors in the long term because a President Biden would not be able to pass higher corporate taxes with a Republican Senate.

The market seems to agree. The technology-heavy Nasdaq was up 4% in the early afternoon on Wednesday., where firms are disrupting supply chains.
