AAT Kings Group CEO Matt Fuller says the tourism industry is on the cusp of an exciting period with borders coming down around the country, pointing to strong demand for travel to Tasmania and New Zealand.

"The things that are really popular now is the Northern Territory, particularly because its border opened a little earlier than the

others," he said. "Between Tasmania and New Zealand in these last couple of weeks... we've now got demand we've seen back in January."
