Nearly 6,000 warehouse employees will get to participate in a mail-in vote starting on February 8 for a chance to decide on the formation of the company's first-ever union.
In the survey, Insider asked Amazon employees if they wished they were unionized. Roughly 21% of the respondents said"definitely yes," while another 22% said"probably yes." Votes in support of a union outweighed those who said"probably no" and"definitely no" . Almost 27% of the respondents were undecided.
This analysis comes from a survey conducted last month on SurveyMonkey. The survey asked 237 respondents who said they worked for Amazon whether they're happy at their jobs, satisfied with their compensation and direct management, and more. Amazon has over 800,000 employees in the US, and over 1.1 million worldwide.
