One hundred trucks conveying 4,000 tonnes of onion have reportedly left Sokoto for other African countries in the aftermath of the recent crisis at Shasa.However, the National President of Onion Producers and Marketers, Aliyu Isa, denied that the decision to export the products resulted from the recent Shasa crisis.
According to him, Nigeria produces 1.4 million metric tonnes of onion every year and exports it to all African countries, except Egypt and the Niger Republic.
Please sell your onions somewhere else, our lives and security are worth more than your Onions, moreover we are already bringing in Onions from other sources, with plans to cultivate the same ourselves.
Nigeria is not just the biggest economy in west Africa. It is the biggest in Africa. Most of the market is in southern Nigeria. There's no other economy in west Africa that is as big as the southern Nigeria economy. They will beg the South to bring it back here

I don't really like the way some of these northerners behave, every region in this country have had a fair share of violence a wickedness been perpetrated by people from other regions but does it stop them from contributing to well being of the nation through whatever means.
