Have you ever been in a rush at the supermarket buying sausages, burgers or bacon and, when you’ve unpacked your groceries at home, realised you’ve accidentally bought a vegan alternative?
People live busy lives, grocery shopping can be a chore and not everyone is reading labels particularly closely. Still, this took me by surprise. As someone who has been vegan for 15 years ,I had never imagined we would be in an era where there are so many meat-like vegetarian options on the shelf that people would be consuming them by mistake.
For many who have shunned animal products for ethical reasons, the accidental purchase of vegan food by meat eaters is something to be happy about, and an inquiry into the labelling of alternative products is considered an ideological attack on the plant-based sector. But duping people, intentionally or otherwise, into buying or eating vegan protein is both economically and morally unwise.

Religious beliefs such as veganism often rely on false advertising
Doesn't matter whether it helps or hinders people just deserve honesty.
How could anyone 'accidentally' buy plant-based food in a supermarket unless they were stupid? It's in a section on it's own! And even if they did, so what? Why not give it a go?
