The Minister of State for Mines and Power, Dr Uchechukwu Ogah, has advocated skill acquisition as a way of moving Nigeria to self dependency.

Ogah added, “Time has come for Nigeria to move away from rhetoric and academics as China did; skills now rule the world.Ogah, who noted that skill acquisition had no age limit, said for the initiator of the skill acquisition centre, Honor Onyebuchukwu, to invite the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, to Alayi showed that the Federal Government was involved in the project.

He urged the youths and the elderly in area to acquire one skill or another, assuring his support until the project was completed.”
