has spoken out about what it’s like, and how difficult it can be, to be a Black woman in the entertainment industry.

“We are the ones who do suffer from the marginalisation the most and the erasure the most,” she said during an interview withthis week, adding that without the internet or social media, it’s possible she would have been “erased”. The 33-year-old singer continued, wiping tears from her cheeks with a tissue: "For the most part, it doesn't hurt my feelings, I don't care. I just think when I'm working this hard, my tolerance gets lower, my patience is lower, I'm more sensitive. And it gets to me..."I just feel like I’m seeing negativity directed towards me in the most weirdest way, like, people saying sh*t about me that just doesn’t even make sense.
