The FDA has released sweeping new guidance for the food industry to voluntarily reduce sodium in processed, packaged and prepared foods in an attempt to reduce Americans' consumption.

American diets are the worst. No one ever said, let me go on an american diet so I don't get diabetes, obesity, heart problems and high pressure. Said no one ever.

I can’t imagine a bag of tortilla chips with no salt 😂

Unfortunately, processed foods including frozen use all types of things to make food shelf stable and give food with no health benefit flavor.

Voluntarily, LOL 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Why not just recommend reducing “processed, packaged and prepared foods”

Nothing like being micro managed by the government.

Finally. Long overdue.

The reduction of sodium and/or the use of salt has been discussed since the ‘80’s. This is not new news. The FDA just got off it’s ass and decided to make an announcement.
