How increasing women’s participation in investment can change the world …in October 2021 and we have had a huge response, with over 850 members joining us on the second Wednesday of each month for a programme of financial education, investing strategies and trading in our Fantasy Share Portfolio competition.
The Fantasy Share Portfolio Competition element of the Investment Club allows our members to buy and sell shares in a risk-free environment. Each participant began with a fantasy fund of €250,000 to buy and sell shares on the major international stock exchanges in real time.
It is often said that increasing women’s participation in investment can change the world. Research has shown that women are more likely to align their investments with their values, and are more likely to invest for social impact. If women are encouraged to invest, they will have more influence on corporate behaviour and on the world, as choosing where to invest can help to drive change.
