dried up nationwide and under pressure from the White House, Abbott entered a consent decree with the FDA that laid out the steps needed to resume production at the facility.
Abbott said it will start production of EleCare and other specialty and metabolic formulas and the initial product release to consumers is expected to begin on June 20. But the production of Similac and other formulas is still on pause, Abbott said. But the reopening of the plant isn't an immediate fix to the shortage. Since the speciality and metabolic formulas are initially being prioritized, that will be distributed through health care providers — not stores.
AgDayTV Maybe a good news story would be how we consolidated almost every industry to the point if one of the few companies go down we are in a world of hurt? Like baby formula, computer chips, meat packers, ect...
Try Goats milk… I’m 78 and healthy…
so StephenM will finally shut up
“Requirements” meaning “OPEN NOW!”
So this company is responsible for infant deaths and a formula shortage and they've been held accountable how...?
They did not fine anything at the plant and CEO was asking why they will not let them open ,they was not responsible for the out brake so why are the government not letting them open back up , we the people want truth no more LIES
JoeBiden don’t you agree to start another baby formula plant?
The White House said President Biden knew it in September 2021!
This is a reminder- people are choosing to feed their children with chemicals from a pharmaceutical company. Then they want the president to do something when they can’t get their chemicals. It’s really quite pathetic excepting only infants w/medical necessity.
A private company runs a plant with numerous safety and health violations and somehow it's the governments fault for telling them to clean it up. Why do conservatives want sick babies?
