John Hinckley, who wounded then US President Ronald Reagan and three others in a 1981 assassination attempt, was released without conditions on Wednesday in compliance with a federal judge’s order.

“After 41 years 2 months and 15 days, FREEDOM AT LAST!!!”Hinckley, 67, wrote on his Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon. Reagan’s daughter Patti Davis opposed Hinckley’s release, saying Hinckley was a narcissist who she did not believe felt remorse.
