Ottawa police have identified Vuyo Kashe, 36, as the victim of a shooting death late Friday on Clarence Street, near King Edward Avenue in the ByWard Market.

Police said the shooting occurred at 11:40 p.m. and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa police homicide unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5493.The homicide was the third shooting attack in July. Two of the attacks were fatal. One man has been charged in the July 5 shooting death of 24-year-old Abdulhamid Haji Ragab, in the Banff-Ledbury area.one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in the 100 block of Ritchie Street, west of Britannia Village.Share this article in your social network

Maybe you should nicely ask for the truckers to return. There was no shootings or stabbing when they were here. Not in downtown, vanier... funny eh? A safer city and cleaner too and full bellies for the homeless on top of it.
