A security guard was injured on Thursday when he and his colleagues on duty at Middelburg Provincial Hospital, Mpumalanga, were shot with rubber bullets, allegedly by officers from a rival security company.

Mohlala said on Thursday between 14:00 and 15:00, security guards from another company allegedly came in a taxi and started shooting at the hospital guards.One of the guards on duty sustained minor injuries and was treated at the hospital before being discharged later the same day.
